Leilani Aloyo & Kristine "Kaye" Corrales
Hi everyone! We are Leilani and Kaye, the founders of Alora Events! We have been friends since we were 10 years old and knew from the get-go that we worked perfectly in sync with one another. From choreographing routines as Color Guard Co-Captains to planning school events, we noticed how creative and organized our productions were. Now in our Thriving 30's, we found that our planning and design skills have excelled exponentially!
Like many, our story of becoming professional event planners began with our own weddings in 2017 and 2020. Planning a wedding in 2020 was particularly intense because of the ever-changing protocols that revolved around Covid-19. Was there stress? Of course! So many curve balls were thrown, but we loved every moment of it! At the end, the execution was flawless and that's when the lightbulb came on: We should combine forces to make our own event planning business!
& thus, Alora Events came to fruition.
We strive to create exclusive event experiences and bring your vision to life. Our services include event planning, scouting venues, managing contracts, vendor-client communication, managing budgets, and the overall design. Our goal is to make your event planning experience full with fond memories to last a lifetime!
Leilani Aloyo
Co-Founder
Leilani Aloyo was born and raised in beautiful San Diego, California. She was indeed a “Coronabride” with an original date of May 2020 and was finally able to marry the love of her life in August of 2020. She loves dogs and has 2 of her own. She enjoys coffee, wine, and making a great charcuterie board.
Leilani graduated from National University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Biology. It took 6 years in the Healthcare industry to realize that her true passion lies elsewhere. After planning and designing many baby showers, birthday parties, gender reveals, and her own wedding she became fully aware that event planning and design was her true calling.
Although she thrives in whimsical, boho, and modern designs, she enjoys getting requests for unique and ‘not-your-everyday’ designs. She loves to travel and admires the beauty of other cities and countries. Want a destination wedding or event? Leilani is ready with her bags packed! Her favorite moment is seeing her client’s reaction when they arrive at their venue and they see their vision and dream become reality.
Kristine "Kaye" Corrales
Co-Founder
Kristine “Kaye” Corrales is a San Diego native who earned her Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. During Kaye’s 6 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist, she found more joy traveling and juggling a wedding photography business, Fate Studios, with her awesome husband! Eventually, she decided to leave healthcare and focus her energy towards the wedding & event industry.
After capturing over 200 weddings, Kaye witnessed the good, the bad, and the ugly that can happen behind the scenes. That knowledge paired up with her creativity led her to designing and coordinating all types of gatherings - from weddings, baby showers, and birthday parties to business seminars and corporate galas. It only made sense to make it official and form an event planning and design company with her like minded friend, Leilani!
Kaye absolutely loves how every event is unique with more opportunities to grow and use her creative side. She brings a design perspective that is thoughtful, stylized and truly all about you! When she isn’t event planning, Kaye loves going on travel adventures, tasting new foodie spots, baking, and of course, being with her loved ones and adorable fur babies!
